World Carfree Day in Donostia-San Sebastián
In recognition of “World Carfree Day” in September 22nd Kalapie, the Urban Cyclists Association of San Sebastian like previous years offered snacks, bicycle bells, red lights and reflective bracelets on bikeway in Bahia de la Concha between 17:00 and 20:00 to all urban cyclists. The objective, to promote cycling as a means of daily transport and reduce car use.
Many cyclists were invited to eat or drink something and to take some information.
San Sebastian is the city in Spain which has more displacement percentage bike, but does not amount to 3%. Now the biggest problem are the exits and entrances to the city and we are struggling to secure connections for cyclists to increase bike use.
